Kalbe Awarded Elementary School Through Kalbe Junior Science Award

PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) today awarded the Indonesian-wide elementary school level for their science project competition winners, the Kalbe Junior Scientist Award (KJSA) 2021. The science project competition which Kalbe has held since 2011 has determined the three best winners and one favorite winner. This science project competition with the title Science Experience at Home was held to encourage elementary school students to create simple science projects related to their daily environment, especially from the health aspect considering the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.  

Kalbe's commitment is always to create innovations based on research and science development transmitting to young scientists throughout Indonesia by cultivating their love for science from an early age through KJSA," said Vidjongtius, President Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk.

 The winners of KJSA 2021 are

  • 1st place winner, Adelia Shovia Putri, and Dania Azra Nazifa, with their project Oksibraille from SD Muhammadiyah Manyar Gresik, received a cash prize of IDR 10,000,000 along with IDR 1,000,000 for the companion.

  • 2nd place winner Ngurah Bagus and Ananda Puja, with their project, Digital Compress for Fever Reduction from Saraswati 3 Elementary School Denpasar, received a cash prize of IDR 7,500,000 along with IDR 1,000,000 for the companion.

  • 3rd place winner, Ferdian Affandi Budiansyah, with his project Clean and Clear Doormat from SDN Ngadirgo 03 Semarang, received a cash prize of IDR 5,000,000 along with IDR 1,000,000 for the companion

 For the KJSA 2021 favorite winners, Ngurah Bagus Raditya and Ananda Puja from Saraswati 3 Elementary School Denpasar, will get IDR 2,500,000 in cash.

We hope that through KJSA, our nation's next-generation always encouraged always to think critically, foster curiosity, and develop a culture of innovation and good competition in schools, and can stimulate innovation and competition in schools as well going forward. added Vidjongtius.

The juries of KJSA 2021 are Pre Agusta Siswantoro, Consultant External Relations of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk.; M. Syachrial Annas, Director of PP-IPTEK; Theresia Ningsi Astuti, Coordinator of Research and Innovation Infrastructure Partnership Development of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN); Abdul Mukti, Developer of the Young Learning Technology of the Primary School Directorate - Kemendikbud; and Sonya Hellen, Journalist of Kompas.

KJSA is a science project competition program for elementary school (SD) students throughout Indonesia. This program is held annually, starting in 2011 until now. In 2021, KJSA carries the theme Science Experience at Home based on the passion for creating health-related projects through the struggles of the situation and conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
